Calgary Police Service offers Safe Driving Seminar to Calgary Businesses
Each year nearly 400 people are killed and more than 27,000 injured in vehicle collisions in Alberta. These collisions impact families, communities and businesses alike and cost Albertans $4 billion annually. Sadly it is recognized that most of these collisions are preventable. The Safe Driving to Save Lives seminar is designed to educate and enhance individual awareness regarding the importance of safe driving habits and how such behaviours contribute to workplace safety. These interactive presentations normally take two hours and can be tailored to address specific areas of concern, and best of all they are free for Calgary-area businesses. Please call Constable Chisholm of Traffic Education Unit at 403-567-4042 to book a free seminar for your employees. More info.

Bridgeland Inter-Agency Group

Traffic and Parking Issues
No doubt you’ve noticed that there has been continuous change, in both the parking and traffic situations in Bridgeland, for the past few years. This will be an ongoing condition for quite some time yet, as our neighbourhood grows and develops. If you have a particular issue, problem, question, or even a commendation, you can contact Lori Losowy (pres@brcacalgary.org or 403-237-6765), with details, and our Traffic & Parking Sub-Committee will put it on our agenda. Happy trails!

Alberta Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act (SCAN)
SCAN – will improve community safety by targeting and, if necessary, closing residential and business buildings that are habitually used for illegal activities such as drugs, prostitution and gangs. Click here for more information or visit their website at: www.Scan.Alberta.ca.
