Federation of Calgary Communities (FCC) - Community Planning Update: February 2007 edition

Civic Affairs, such as community planning, traffic issues, safety and greening are just some of the concerns that are addressed by the Bridgeland Riverside Community Association.

A formal Planning Committee Director is appointed each year at the Annual General Meeting (April/May) and meets with a volunteer committee to hear and review development and traffic issues that impact the neighbourhood. Planning Meetings are held on the first Tuesday (7:00pm) of each month at the Bridgeland-Riverside Community Centre at 917 Centre Avenue N.E.

The Community Safety Director also relies on community-based volunteer initiatives, such as Block Watch and community policing to enhance efforts to increase safety in the community.
