Playgroup - next playdate August 15
Parents and kids, come join us at the Bridgeland-Riverside Playgroup! Kids 5 years and under are welcome for crafts and games and some active play once per month. We meet upstairs in the Lantern Room at the Bridgeland-Riverside Community Centre, 917 Centre Avenue NE (Corner of 9th St & Centre Ave NE).

Friday of each month, with the exception of Good Friday.

Make new friends and meet your neighbours as you enjoy great speakers on a variety of topics. Cost is $2.00 per person and includes tea, coffee, juice, pop and water.

Pilates
Pilates introduces the philosophy and teachings of Joseph H. Pilates. This Level
I fundamental class is the first step in a long series of programs designed
to tone the body and improve posture. Pilates essentials in as exercise class,
performed on the floor with a mat. This class will introduce you to breathing
techniques for relaxation and abdominal training to strengthen your entire core
while working on balance, flexibility and coordination.
Yoga
Flow
An integrative class in various styles of yoga. Energy flows by linking postures
together in creative sequences. Heat builds in the body by connecting breath
and movement. Yoga Flow is an energizing class that encourages us to find a
sense of freedom and joy in our asana practice! It cultivates a safe, mindful
and strengthening yoga practice.

Canadian Callanetics Exercise Program
Canadian Callanetics is a very unique, powerful Body Sculpting Exercise Program which incorporates the grace and fluidity of Ballet with the mind/body synergy of Yoga.

1x/wk $50 per session
2x/wk $90 per session
3x/wk $120 per session
Sessions are four weeks
in duration.
The class is suitable for all ages, genders and fitness levels. Everyone is encouraged to work at their own pace. The small classes enables the instructor to help each participant perfect the techniques for maximum effectiveness and to adjust positioning so that muscle strengthening is progressive. Modifications can be made to suit participants who have existing injuries or conditions.
No equipment is required. Participants wear clothes that are comfortable so they can move freely. We do not wear shoes during class -- you can wear socks or go barefoot, whichever you are comfortable with.

The Highriser Toastmasters Club meets from 7-8:30 pm every Thursday evening.

Tiny Toes Preschool Program (3 yrs - 5 yrs)

This program is available for children 3 +. This 45 minute combo class incorporates
tap, ballet, as well as some tumbling and creative work. This high energy class
is a great opportunity for your aspiring ballerina to see what dance is all
about.

In this program you will get to try a little bit of all the everything! Ballet,
Jazz, and Hip Hop - a great opportunity for you to sample each of these three
popular styles before you make a commitment to a full season in the fall!
