Summer Camps are coming to BRCA!
FrancoZone Camp - Several weeks available throughout July and August
Contact: Eric Shalom 587-331-6235
FrancoZone is a French Immersion day camp in the heart of Calgary. Children ages 6 to 14 explore interesting activities that are both fun and interactive. All levels of French are welcome! Camp activities have been developed by an Alberta certified teacher and follow the Alberta curriculum. The emphasis is on fun and active exploration in French rather than sitting down! How it works Each day focuses on a different “theme” (engineering, fine arts, robotics, cooking, etc.). Mornings are devoted to vocabulary and concepts that will then be used for hands-on activities in the afternoons. By allowing students to work in groups to solve problems that are fun and interesting, they begin to speak — and even think — in French.

We are excited about offering one youth photography camp August 17th to the 21st. Our photography camp attracts youth between the ages of 10 and 16 years of age who love photography and want to develop their compositional and technological skills. Our camp is located at the Bridgeland-Riverside Community center which is a bright and airy hall with incredible views and is located in an area rich with creative opportunities including a community garden and downtown architecture. Our goal is to challenge budding photographers to construct, identify and assess the dimensions of personal values and interests as they photograph throughout the community, beyond and in our portrait studio. Please check out our website for more exciting details.
