The Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association facilitates involvement and opportunities that attract, connect and sustain a diverse network of people and businesses to improve our collective quality of life.
Our Mission
The BRCA’s mission is to foster the vision for Bridgeland-Riverside by serving and engaging residents and other stakeholders of our community through:
- Facilitating the development and delivery of recreational and social programs
- Connecting the community with information and opportunities
- Engaging with the community to support healthy commerce
- Stewarding the land and facilities under the society’s care and making them optimally accessible to the community
- Coordinating and communicating urban planning issues for the future development of Bridgeland-Riverside, preserving its values, while supporting its evolution.

Tool Library Welcomes You!
The Calgary Tool Library has about 300 members and approximately 500 tools, and we continue to grow.
Let us know what tools you're looking for and we might be able to get it for you. Let us know if you have some expertise to share. Perhaps you would be willing to facilitate a workshop? Let us know if you can hang a poster in your condo building.

Bridgeland-Riverside Casino Needs Volunteers!
The Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association needs volunteers for its 2015 casino on Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st. This year, we're at Cowboys Casino.
GENERAL MANAGER / ALTERNATE GENERAL MANAGER – CASH CAGE (11:00 am to 7:30 pm OR 6:30 pm to 3:30 am)
Ensures a sufficient number of volunteers arrive each day
Ensures signed cheques are available to pay expenses on the evening of the second day
Verifies transactions
Witnesses cashier/player transactions of more than $200.00
May relieve the banker and chip runners during meals/breaks
BANKER (11:00 am to 7:30 pm OR 6:30 pm to 3:30 am)
Controls the cash cage float of chips and cash
Witnesses cashier/player transactions of more than $200.00
Generates fills/credits for cash/chip transfers through the ‘CasinoTrack’ computer system
CASHIER (11:00 am to 7:30 pm OR 6:30 pm to 3:30 am)
Cashes in chips for players
This position requires concentration and accuracy
CHIP RUNNER (11:00 am to 7:30 pm OR 6:30 pm to 3:30 am)
Couriers chip orders
Operates a touch screen portable computer
GENERAL MANAGER / ALTERNATE GENERAL MANAGER – COUNT ROOM (11:00 pm to 3:30 am)
Ensures a sufficient number of volunteers are present for the count
Opens drop boxes and/or helps sort cash
COUNT ROOM SUPERVISOR (11:00 pm to 3:30 am)
Records cash counts through the ‘CasinoTrack’ computer system
COUNT ROOM STAFF (11:00 pm to 3:30 am)
Sorts, counts, records, verifies and amalgamates cash from the drop boxes from the games
Assists count room supervisor
