ABOUT
Flyover Park will turn a forgotten space into a welcoming gateway to the community of Bridgeland-Riverside. Co-designed with community members and local students, the future of this space will include lighting, play, art and landscaping to become Calgary's first urban underpass park! Because forgotten spaces can be transformed into thriving urban spaces!

Announcement March 15, 2019
The Province and City are investing $2 million into Flyover Park. The Alberta government approved $1 million in funding, which has been matched by The City of Calgary.
This is a project our community and the Flyover Kids at Langevin School designed together, with the support and guidance of multiple urban planning leaders and funders. We couldn't be prouder, or more grateful.
The project has received various accolades, including a National Urban Design Award in 2018 and an Honourable Mention, Community Improvement Projects, at the Mayor's Urban Design Awards (MUDA) in 2017.
THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this project FLY into reality.
