Bridgeland-Riverside Community Clean Up May 1, 2021
Come and help volunteer on May 1, 2021 from 9:00am-1:30pm
Please register yourself or family for one of the following volunteer positions:
LITTER CLEAN UP You will be assigned one area of the neighbourhood
Sign in between 9:00am-11:00, clean up goes until 1:30pm REGISTER HERE
INDOOR ORGANIZER/REGISTRATION TABLE BRCA Community Hall 917 Centre Ave NE
- Morning 8:30am-11:45am (3 people needed) REGISTER HERE
- Afternoon 11:30am-2:00pm (2 people needed) REGISTER HERE
OUTDOOR ORGANIZER Rehabilitation Society #7, 11St NE (traffic control, unload vehicles, treasure table)
- Morning 8:30am-11:45am (6 people needed, 2 for each role) REGISTER HERE
- Afternoon 11:30am-2:00pm (6 people needed, 2 for each role) REGISTER HERE
Please note that provincial regulations due to COVID-19 are in effect at all Community Cleanups. Please visit alberta.ca for the latest COVID-19 provincial regulations.
p.s. There is a separate group organizing a Dog Poo Crew on Tom Campbell Hill on May 1st from 9am - 2pm. They could use a few more volunteers and ask that you bring your own supplies.

Arctic Adventure
There is something for everyone!
Challenge your friends & neighbours at a distance.Follow all AHS cohort protocols & Participate in this event at your own risk.
Choose your own adventure!
Download instructions and maps BelowAdventure Course is 7.5 km long and could take up to 2+ hours to complete depending on your pace. Do as much or as little as you like, as often as you like. The most fun is to do the whole circuit in order!
Take lots of pictures/videos and to enter the prize draws. To enter direct message at least 3 photos from 3 different spots along the route to us on Instagram and tag #YYCOutdoors @bridgelandarcticadventure @parksfdncalgary @cityofcalgary @bridgelandbetty

To make sure you are entered for a prize please accept our follow or direct message the photos and videos to us in Instagram.Bridgeland Distillery is doing an ICE BAR as an apres event on weekends.
Go do the adventure circuit then pop by the outdoor ice bar for some winter cocktails by the fire.
Ice Bar hours will be from 2 - 6 PM on the following days:Feb 12, 13, 14, 15 (Family Day), Feb 19, 20, 21, Feb 26, 27, 28

Christmas Lights Tour
Christmas 2020 looks a little different this year. While the pandemic has us staying close to home, we can still get out for a walk or a drive and enjoy some of the holiday spirit. We've compiled a map of Christmas light displays in Bridgeland and surrounding neighbourhoods.

Annual General Meeting November 18, 2020
We invite voting members to join us on November 18th for our Annual General Meeting. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's event will look a bit different. We request that all attendees wear face masks, physical distancing will be in place, no refreshments will be served, and there will not be any socializing prior to, or after the meeting. The Board of Directors has created their presentation ahead of time to allow the meeting to be very quick.

Why join? What does BRCA do?
- Represents the community in city initiatives and development permit applications, traffic and community safety aspects
- Invites residents to get involved in issues affecting the community
- Facilitates residents' learning about and contributing their perspective on issues affecting the community
- Hosts fun and engaging events that bring the community together
- Operates the community hall for community and private use
- Operates this website for the community association
- Operates multiple social media accounts, sharing information about community happenings and engaging our community online
- Publishes a community newsletter, Bridges, published online and in print, that is delivered to 5,600 homes and businesses in Bridgeland-Riverside by mail (11 issues per year)
- Collaborates with local business to offer discounts to BRCA members
Membership definitions
- Individual - one adult
- Family - two or more adults (and their children) living in the same home
- Seniors – 60 years and older
Who can become a member?
- Adult residents of Bridgeland-Riverside (>18 years) can join and can vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
- People living outside the community boundaries can join as non-residents – they can attend events and meetings but cannot vote
- Businesses can join. They can attend meetings and the AGM but cannot vote.

Individual non-resident members do not live in Bridgeland-Riverside. They are a single adult in one household and can participate in BRCA programs. They cannot vote at our Annual General Meeting or run for a Board position.

Individual fair entry members live in Bridgeland-Riverside. They are a single adult in one household and can participate in BRCA programs. They are registered with the City of Calgary fair entry low income program. They can vote at our Annual General Meeting, and run for a Board position.
